La
Paz County School Superintendent, Janice Shelton, hereby makes a public notice
of the opportunity for the residents of the Quartzsite Elementary School
District to serve as a Governing Board member for your school district. It has
been determined that an appointment to fill the vacant seat will best meet the
needs of the community and the Quartzsite Elementary School District. The term
for the appointment will be from the date of the appointment through December
31, 2014. The position will appear on the November, 2014 General Election
Ballot as a regular four year term.
To
be eligible to serve on a school district governing board, a candidate must:

Be a registered voter of the state of Arizona, and
·
Be
a resident of the school district for one year prior to the appointment, and
·
Not be an employee or the spouse of an employee of the
district.
